Is a highly accomplished colorectal surgeon with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB, 1993), a Master’s in General Surgery (M.Sc., 1998), and a Doctorate in General Surgery (M.D., 2002) from Cairo University. He has held academic positions at Cairo University, including Lecturer (2002–2008), Assistant Professor (2008–2014), and Professor of General Surgery since 2014. He has served as Head of the Surgical Emergency Department (2020–2021) and currently leads the Pelvic Floor and Colorectal Surgical Department (since 2021).
