Dr. Ismail Shafik serves as a professor of general surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. With over two decades of experience, he is a renowned colorectal surgeon specializing in pelvic floor therapies and colorectal surgical procedures.

- Internship (1994–1995) Completed clinical rotations across multiple departments at Cairo University Hospitals, gaining hands-on experience in various medical fields.
- Surgical Resident (1995–1998) Trained in the Department of General Surgery at Cairo University Hospital, honing surgical skills and patient care expertise.
- Senior Registrar (1998–1999) Served at the General Surgery Department, Cairo University Hospital, and the National Cancer Institute, managing complex surgical cases.
- Assistant Lecturer (1999–2002) Engaged in teaching and clinical duties at the General Surgery Department, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University Hospital.
- Lecturer (2002–Present) Provided advanced instruction in general surgery at Cairo University, contributing to the education of future surgeons.
